The railway station occupies 500sq.m over two floors providing waiting rooms and ticket offices, including low level counters to ease access for disabled people. The new station is open 24hrs/day and provides passengers with shopping opportunities as well as free Wi-Fi. Station security is also provided 24hrs/day.
In addition to the retail spaces the shopping centre houses the municipal cultural centre and the 'Spoteka' art gallery, which displays art collections, digital and multimedia collections, films, audibooks, plays. Future developments include multipurpose meeting rooms, e-galleries and a 'virtual reality world' facility.
The new Sopot Centre features high-end fiinishing materials, two types of copper: composite copper sheet and perforated copper sheet. The building design also incorates elements of concrete and glass.
The project provides 23,500sq.m of space with businesses generating 400 new jobs.
