From an architectural point of view, the ensemble consists of a juxtaposition of "small houses" or parallelepipeds with simple shapes, crowned with rows and flat areas of patinated copper as a reminder of the traditional surrounding Parisian roofs. The apartments, which range from studios to 5-room apartments, are separated by vertical beds covered with abundant vegetation. The project is largely outward looking. Large bays open on to terraces or gardens.
The quality of its thermal insulation, the performance of technical equipment and the use of natural and renewable materials such as wood and copper, mean that the project meets the environmental commitments set by the building owner, Altarea Cogedim. The housing units are certified NF-Démarche HQE® (High Environmental Quality) and social housing, H & E® (Habitat & Environment).
This bold project in the heart of a protected historic site has been the subject of intense consultation with local residents.
