The building is surrounded by a ventilated brass facade; the varying distances between the folds gives the appearance of waves on the facade. Interestingly light and shade alternate, dependent upon time of day, weather and season. Two major reasons for the use of brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, are the durability and the resulting vivid color changes that, over time, will see the bright yellow colour transform to a dark brown-anthracite.
Inside, the guests will be guided by clear zoning of the hotel, paths clearly lead guests from the underground garage to lobby, bar and breakfast room. Further on, the path unfolds itself to the 50 guest rooms and up to the spa-area on the rooftop. The entire hotel seems pleasantly spacious, bright and open.
The guest rooms are at the core of the design of the hotel. Each guest room is characterized by its high-quality materials as well as large-size glazing. Local wood and natural stone covered floors and ceilings provide continuity and create a fascinating impression. The standard room plan has been rotated through 90 °, so that the bathroom is now located on the facade and is thus flooded by daylight. Each room has a private balcony.
