Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw, Poland

PCPM

The new building for the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw is one of three buildings comprising the newly built Centre of New Technologies, situated between Banacha and Pasteura streets in Warsaw Ochota district.

Designed by the architectural design studio "Kurałowicz & Associate", it houses physics laboratories, computer rooms and experimental laboratories, as well as lecture theatres and a library. A link has been constructed allowing students and staff to move between the ‘physics’ building and the adjacent Biological and Chemical Research Centre. Parking facilities are provided by use of an underground car park.

The new building of the Faculty of Physics has a multi-coloured façade. Its outer walls, although designed with different colour schemes (orange, silver, copper, grey) are perfectly harmonize with each other.

Total floor area:      13,422 sq m.

Educational facilities: 8,395 sq m.

Auxiliary facilities:   2,660 sq m.
