Another purpose was to achive a harmonious integration of the building on its own site. Sibiu is an old city with a well-defined center with medieval buildings, later from the Renaissance and the Baroque periods. Therefore, the framing roof, the proportions of windows and the space between them were an attempt to adjust to existing archetypes.
In the spirit of unity of expression both the fence and the gate were made of oxidized steel, protected with a colorless varnish.
Inside, the house has a fluent, continuous space, thanks to the presence of an atrium at the core of the building. It divides the building in two parts staggered half-heigh level. In this way we have managed to place the “public” functions facing the street (hall, living room) and the “private” ones facing to the backyard. Also, for reasons of privacy the room with the jacuzzi and the one with the home cinema installation were located in the basement floor, facing a generous English courtyard.
For the purpose of highlighting the spectacular interior volume we used mostly white, so that the colour perception does not interfere with the perception of space itself.
