The reception desk in the representative entrance hall is visually connected with the balustrade of the mezzanine and a fragment of the conference room wall on the first floor.
All surfaces are finished in the same material – hand-hammered copper cladding. An additional layer of lacquer not only prevents its oxidation but also creates the effect of shimmering, as the colour interacts with the changing intensity of natural light entering the building. Consequently, the cladding transforms in appearance throughout the course of the day.
The remaining walls of the hall are clad in polished basalt tiles. The dark, matt surface of the stone creates an ideal, contrasting background to the shiny copper.
The materials used: copper and polished basalt cladding lend the interior its representative, elegant character, very appropriate for its function: the head office of the Polish Bank BPS.
