The building is located on a spectacular site, characterized by strong elements of the local environment; beautiful views, particular rocks and vegetation.
These were major factors in the formation of the building, which establish a conversation with its environment, both near and far.
The main functions of the building are placed on two floors, classrooms, aula and offices, all in boxes composing the building and forming the open spaces and corridors between them, focusing on the views around the building.
The materials used in the building are supposed to last and at the same time wear and tear, in a natural beautiful way, through time and use; polished concrete and solid wooden floors and exposed concrete and tiles on walls.
On the outside the materials reflect their surroundings, where the brass cladding refers directly to the rocks around the building. These rocks are high in iron and therefore oxidizing, giving them particular colour, very close to the brass which is composed of shingles of irregular size, echoing the formal irregularity of the rocks.
The upper roofs are covered with large granulated oxidizing gravel, and the lower roofs are covered with the same vegetation as the rocks around the building.
The program of the building and its surroundings, both in terms of exact location, form or materials, form the building. It is to reflect its environment, both social and physical and, at the same time, to give its users the space for their personal imagination and perception of the environment, built and natural, in which they are found.
