In the heart of Limburg's lakes - the result of massive gravel extraction - you will find Maaspark 'De Boschmolenplas'. It has gradually developed into a site with more than 250 recreational houses.
Hence the need arose for a central facility combining a luxurious restaurant with a jetty, providing a powerful identify to the park and thus being a strong regional attraction.
In order to prevent the new structure from completely merging into the vast landscape, we chose to interweave both into one self-amplifying ensemble.
Situated on a junction of many high-quality sailing, bicycle and walking routes and surrounded by the 'Boschmolenplas' and the marine, the building should be seen as an extraordinary landscape that carries some unique intrinsic qualities.
The result is an elegant copper appearance that dynamically folds itself around the aforementioned routes.
Raised above the landscape, both the building and its terraces offer a superb grand view over the stunning water landscape.
