Private underground car park, Austria

Früh ARCHITEKTURbüro ZT GmbH

The different materials used in the facades make a striking distinction between the main and the auxiliary building.

The perforated copper façade of the underground car park provides a natural diffused lighting during the day and an interesting lighting effect at night.  In contrast to the copper façade of the parking structure, the main building’s façade is exposed concrete with black-framed window elements.

The spatial structure of the main building can be clearly seen from the outside due, in part, to the window arrangement as well as the different ceiling heights.  The different weighting of the rooms is even visible in the facade and structures the concrete cube.
