Biuro Opera Software, Wrocław, Poland

EIM

mode:lina™ studio have designed interiors for Opera Software the Norwegian company that created the popular web browser.

The company headquarters are located in two prestigious townhouses. The interior design is inspired by specific Wroclaw places and themes – Wroclaw bridges, Szczytnicki Park, and the Main Railway Station, which inspired the kitchen design.

Particularly impressive is the design concept adopted for the meeting rooms. Each room is associated with computer components, e.g. an old style floppy diskette, a keyboard, a processor and binary code.

The green colouring for the meeting room walls is reminiscent of a computer motherboard, blackboards on walls are shaped in the form of an integrated circuit, while the table resembles a processor. Copper pipework works together with the blackboards to imitate the conductive tracks of a printed circuit board. They also produce a supplementary, and at the same time original, lighting system.

Given the employees’ preferences and the town atmosphere, the final effect of a loft-like style has been successfully preserved.
